RECOMMENDATION

 

Discuss a potential ban on drive-thru operations in Culver City and provide staff with input and direction.

 

 

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

 

At the February 23, 2026 City Council meeting, Council remanded to the Mobility Subcommittee a discussion regarding the possibility of a citywide ban on drive-thru service for food or other operations.

 

Staff will provide a summary of existing regulations, market trends, ban rationale and additional considerations, a summary of other California city bans, and regulatory approaches to consider.
