Fulwood (05/22/07) Attachments: RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve an agreement with Capstone Coatings & Windows in an amount not to exceed $16 750 to replace deteriorating windows at the Lindberg Park Stone House. BACKGROUND: There are a total of 26 wood framed windows at the Lindberg Park Stone House in need of replacement due to deterioration over the years caused by water intrusion from rain. Additionally these windows are covered by metal screens which have allowed leaves and other debris to accumulate between the screens and windows. As a result the area between the screens and windows has become saturated with water thereby causing the wood frames of the windows to rot. The proposed work will include replacing the existing wood framed windows with double pane energy efficient windows that will prevent water intrusion and will allow the Stone House to maintain proper levels of heating and cooling more efficiently.
