Fulwood (11/26/08) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council grant Planning Commissioner Marcus Tiggs a one year leave of absence and appoint a member to the Planning Commission on an interim basis for 1 year to fill Mr. Tiggs seat. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: On June 2 2008 the City Council reappointed Mr. Marcus Tiggs to the Planning Commission for a second four year term to Office No. 4. Mr. Tiggs term began on July 1 2008 and continues until June 30 2011. On November 4 2008 Mr. Tiggs submitted a letter (Attachment No. 1) through the City Manager to the Mayor and Council requesting a 1 year leave of absence from the Planning Commission due to his Army National Guard deployment to Kosovo.
