Nachbar (02/23/11) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council accept $24 803.00 in grant funds awarded by the 2009 State Homeland Security Grant Program to be used to reimburse training costs and (2) approve a budget amendment related thereto. A budget amendment requires a four fifths vote. BACKGROUND: The City of Culver City has been awarded grant funding from the 2009 State Homeland Security Grant Program as part of a federal effort to assist local agencies in obtaining the equipment and training needed to effectively respond to a terrorist incident.
