BACKGROUND: The construction of City Hall in 1995 included equipping the Mike Balkman Council Chambers (Chambers) with audio visual equipment. Various components were installed to control the voting system microphones speaker volume projector screen up/down chimes document camera room lighting and rear projection screen viewing. By 1997 additional equipment was procured and integrated with the system to facilitate broadcast capability. This included the installation of additional cameras and production equipment which enabled televising City meetings held in the Chambers.
