Cole (08/05/10) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Redevelopment Agency Board approve a Request for Proposals ( RFP ) for landscape architecture services for West Washington Area Improvement Plan Phase III and authorize the release thereof. BACKGROUND: In December 2007 the Culver City Redevelopment Agency Board (Agency Board)approved a multi phase Area Improvement Plan along West Washington Boulevard (AIP) to improve the physical and economic quality of the area. A key component of this AIP involves the installation of streetscape medians funded by the Agency. While the Agency has proposed to fund the improvements it will only do so if the on going median maintenance is carried out through an assessment district. Both Phase I and Phase II project areas have successfully formed assessment districts. Phase I is currently under construction and Phase II construction drawings are being prepared. Landscape architecture services are now required to prepare the conceptual plans for a proposed Phase III of the AI...
