BACKGROUND: On July 28 2008 the City Council awarded a construction contract to Imperial Paving Company for the Carson (Street) Street Improvement and Proposition 1B Bond Funds Street Improvement Projects P 860 and P 903. The scope of work for these projects consists of the following: Carson (Street) Street Improvement Project P 860: Reconstructing the sidewalks driveways curbs gutters; a 2 inch grind and overlay of the street surface with new rubberized asphalt concrete and removing and replacing the existing street trees (Ficus) with Chinese Flame Tree (36 inch box). 2008 Residential Street Overlay...
