BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) are working on a safety and mobility project on Venice Boulevard between Lincoln Boulevard and National Boulevard. This project proposes to provide protected bike lanes, a dedicated bus lane for faster and more reliable bus service, and additional safety features along Venice Boulevard. LADOT and Metro staff will present the project and receive feedback from the subcommittee.

LADOT is planning to host a virtual open house community meeting about the project on August 31, 2022. At this open house, LADOT will present the project and receive feedback from the community around the project corridor. Staff will assist in promoting attendance at this open house to Culver City stakeholders. More information about this project can be found at LADOT's project website: https://ladotlivablestreets.org/projects/venice.
