Fulwood (06/18/08) Attachments: X RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve an agreement with the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works for Paratransit Service for the unincorporated Los Angeles County areas of Ladera Heights View Park and Windsor Hills commencing July 1 2008 through June 30 2011. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: The Culver City Paratransit Program has been providing services since 1974 to qualified individuals (Los Angeles County residents age 60 and older automatically qualify for paratransit services and those under 60 years of age that have obtained a physician s authorization form) who are unable to drive or use the public transportation system. Through this program the Culver City Senior Center offers several transportation opportunities to residents of Culver City and areas of Los Angeles County identified as Ladera Heights View Park and Windsor Hills. Lift van service within the City limits is provided to Culver City residents. Discounted taxi coupons are available for purchase by eligible residents of Culver City View Park Windsor Hills and Ladera Heights.
