The meeting of the City Council was called to order at 7:00 P.M. Present: Mayor Gary Silbiger Vice Mayor Alan Corlin Councilmember Carol Gross Councilmember D. Scott Malsin Councilmember Steven Rose Invocation/Pledge of Allegiance o0o The Invocation was given by Martin Cole Assistant City Manager and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Edmundo Gonzalez. Presentations o0o Item P 2 (out of sequence) A Proclamation in Honor of Cesar Chavez Day. Councilmember Malsin read the proclamation in its entirety. At this time Edmund() Gonzalez Betty Valenzuela and Bill Reid offered personal thoughts of Cesar Chavez and thanked the City Council. Mayor Silbiger announced the Ninth Annual Cesar Chavez Walk Event in Los Angeles on March 31 2007. o0o March 26 2007 Item P I A Proclamation in Honor of April as Women's History Month. Mayor Silbiger read the proclamation in its entirety. Susan Millman Senior Attorney Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles accepted the proclamation and thanked the City Council. Added Item o0o The City Council and the audience sang Happy Birthday to Mayor Silbiger. o0o Public Comment for Items Not on the Agenda Mayor Silbiger invited public participation. The following members of the audience addressed the City Council: Gary Davis requesting that the City Council address tenant rights and rent control. Public Hearing o0o Item PH 1 Public Hearing on Approval of Agreement with Redflex Traffic Systems Inc. for Continued Services Associated with the Police Department's Automated Enforcement Program.
