RECOMMENDATION

 

Staff recommends that there be a discussion of the Martin Luther King Jr. Event that took place on February 15, 2025, by the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration & Juneteenth Celebration Advisory Committee.

 

 

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

 

The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration and Juneteenth Celebration Advisory Committee (Advisory Committee) has requested a discussion regarding the Martin Luther King Jr. event that occurred on February 15, 2025. The discussion will cover, but not be limited to, an evaluation of the event planning leading up to event, execution, and the day-of experience. To assess the overall success of the event and areas that are in need of improvement.
