RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) receive a discussion and debrief regarding the October 21, 2025, "Supporting the Immigrant Community: A Community Conversation and Bystander Intervention Training" Event.


BACKGROUND

At the July 22, 2025, Regular Meeting, a discussion took place regarding the biannual workplan. Given the current political landscape and recent incidents surrounding immigration and ICE and the impact on the Culver City Community, EHRAC reached consensus to host an October Community Conversation centered around immigration and ICE's impact on the Culver City Community.

In addition, at the July 22, 2025, Regular Meeting, EHRAC reached consensus to form an October Community Conversation Ad Hoc Subcommittee, appoint Vice Chair McBride and Members Moammar, Bano and Valverde thereto, and to hear a report from the October Community Conversations Ad Hoc Subcommittee at the August 19, 2025, Special Meeting.
