Nachbar (10/08/14) Action Item: RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution approving an application for grant funds through the Sustainable Communities Transportation Planning Grant under the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan Update. BACKGROUND: The City Council adopted a Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan (BPMP) in 2010. As the City s first Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan the document has been of significant importance in addressing bicycle and pedestrian issues. Since its adoption the expectation for the plan was to update regularly as conditions change and the City continues to meet its bicycle and pedestrian goals.
