RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC) (1) receive report from the Public Events Ad Hoc Subcommittee; (2) if so desired, discuss and consider approval of the report's recommendations; and (3) determine next steps as deemed necessary.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Public Events Ad Hoc Subcommittee is to discuss the proposed events outlined in its report for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-2025 and invite input for additional recommendations from members. The proposed events remaining for the FY 2023-2024 along with future proposed events for FY 2024-2025 will ultimately go to the City Council as part of EHRAC's July 2024 bi-annual report.
At the September 26, 2023, Regular Meeting, there was consensus among EHRAC members to hear a report from the Public Events Ad Hoc Subcommittee.
At the January 26, 2024, Regular Meeting, consensus was achieved to combine the Public Events Ad Hoc Subcommittee with the Budget Ad Hoc Subcommittee, as the members were the same and the scope/purpose of both Ad Hoc Subcommittees were interdependent.
