Nachbar (06/03/14) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve a Cooperative Agreement with the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works for Paratransit Program funding for services provided to the unincorporated Los Angeles County areas of Ladera Heights View Park and Windsor Hills for the period July 1 2014 through June 30 2017. BACKGROUND: The Culver City Paratransit Program (Program) has been in operation since 1974 and has had a coordinated Paratransit Service Agreement with the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (County) since 1995. The Program had been administered by staff in the Parks Recreation and Community Services Department through Fiscal Year 2011/2012 and is now administered by the Transportation Department. The agreement with the County benefits the City as well as Program participants. It allows the City to request compensation of up to $18 000 per fiscal year for Program administration.
