Nachbar (11/08/12) Action Item: RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Culver City Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) for the purpose of defining the Chamber s organizational relationship with the City and delineating the functions duties and responsibilities of the parties with respect to their partnership in community events and the general economic development of the City. BACKGROUND: The City and Chamber have a significant and long standing interest in enhancing the City s economy and business environment by attracting business and investment to the community. In cooperation with the Chamber the City and former Culver City Redevelopment Agency ( Former CCRA ) have expended significant resources toward events and projects that serve to benefit the community and the economic development of the City.
