BACKGROUND & DISCUSSION: On September 22 2008 the City Council adopted an Ordinance amending Chapter 9.11 of the Culver City Municipal Code ( CCMC ) relating to the City s smoking regulations (Attachment 1). As set forth in the Ordinance CCMC Section 9.11.130.C. provides the City Council shall by resolution establish the penalties for violations of Chapter 9.11.
