RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council appoint members to: (1) the Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board; and (2) the Los Angeles County West Vector and Vector-Borne Disease Control District.
BACKGROUND:
At the City Council meeting of May 26, 2015, appointments were made to fill vacancies on the City's commissions, committees and boards (CCBs). All positions were filled except for two Member-at-Large positions on the Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board (LTMB) and the City Council declared the City's representative position on the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County West Vector and Vector-Borne Disease Control District vacant. The City Council also directed the City Clerk to reach out to those applicants who were not appointed that evening to seek their interest in appointment to the LTMB and/or the Board of Trustees. The two vacant Member-at-Large positions on the LTMB have terms ending June 30, 2017 and June 30, 2018. The Board of Trustees appointment has a term ending December 31, 2016. The City Council also asked for confirmation of the eligibility of LTMB applicant, Mr. Leonardo Wilborn, prior to filling the vacancies on the LTMB.
