Nachbar (03/10/11) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council appoint two members to the LAX Advisory Committee. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: The LAX Advisory Committee, comprised of three members from Culver City, provides the City with an advisory voice on the operations at Los Angeles International Airport. Typically, membership has been comprised of the Mayor and a member of the public. This year, Mayor Armenta received consensus to have the Mayor’s position on the Committee now be filled by a member of the public. The City Clerk has received three applications for two seats on this committee. FISCAL ANALYSIS: New appointees to the LAX Advisory Committee who have not completed AB1234 Ethics Training must do so.
