City of Culver City, California City Council Agenda Item Report RECOMMENDATION That the City Council adopt the Resolution establishing a new salary schedule for Police Safety employees effective July 10, 2005 and Rescind Resolution No 2001- R102. DISCUSSION Pursuant to the Initiative Ordinance in the Memorandum of Understanding for Police Safety employees, the base salary rate for Culver City Police Safety employees is to be adjusted by an average of the percentage increases received by the City and County of Los Angeles. FISCAL ANALYSIS The City of Los Angeles is to receive a 4% increase effective July 1, 2005 which will result in a 2% increase for Culver City. The annual fiscal impact of these increases, including all associated benefits, is $377,000. Adequate funds are appropriated in the proposed 2005 – 2006 budget to cover this increase. The City Controller has reviewed this Fiscal Analysis.
