Nachbar (03/10/11) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council authorize the Public Works Department to publish a notice inviting bids for the Veterans Memorial Park Facilities Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Door Improvement Project (Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project # 601317 10). BACKGROUND: The City of Culver City has been allocated funding through the CDBG for ADA accessibility improvements to various entry and exit doors at the Municipal Plunge and Veterans Memorial Building. Upon approval from the City Council staff will release the attached Notice Inviting Bids for this project to qualified contractors. The Notice Inviting Bids will also be advertised in the Culver City News. Staff will return to the City Council at a future date to recommend an award of contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
