RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Equity and Human Relations Advisory Committee (EHRAC): (1) discuss the report from the Community Contributions Ad Hoc Subcommittee; (2) consider approval of the report's recommendations and determine next steps; and (3) provide direction to staff if deemed appropriate.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

During the January 25, 2022 regular meeting, the Community Contributions Ad Hoc Subcommittee announced that a scoring sheet and scoring rubric will be created for each of the nominations submitted. The Ad Hoc Subcommittee received twenty-three (23) nominations to review. On Monday, March 14, 2022, the Ad Hoc Subcommittee met with staff to discuss the minimum score for the applications to be accepted and the overall scoring process.

The production of the medallion is currently in process and should be finalized in April 2022. The medallion will be engraved with the recipient's name, award category, and the award year.
