RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve an amendment to the existing agreement with SkiData, Inc. in an amount not-to-exceed $335,335 for installation, customization, implementation and maintenance of a parking access and revenue control system for the new Culver Commons City parking structure located at 4029 Centinela Avenue.
BACKGROUND
In October 2016 the City Council authorized execution of an agreement with Sentry Control Systems for: (1) the purchase and installation of new PARCS equipment in City garages; and (2) a 10-year agreement in an amount not to exceed $1,145,238 to service and maintain the equipment (Maintenance Agreement) for existing City Parking Structures. The Maintenance Agreement 10-year term began after the PARCS equipment satisfied conformance testing parameters in early 2020.
In late 2019 Sentry was acquired by SkiData, creating the largest provider of PARCS equipment in the United States.
