Commendation to Frank Quiambao

C O M M E N D A T I O N
FRANK QUIAMBAO
WHEREAS, Frank Quiambao has served as the President of West Los Angeles College since 2000, devoting his skills,
talents, and efforts to the pursuit of excellence in post-secondary education, and earning a reputation for leadership by example,
devotion to his staff, and decision making in the best interest of the students; and
WHEREAS, under his leadership, West Los Angeles College achieved significant growth, including a dramatic increase in
enrollment and the expansion and refurbishment of its campus facilities; and
WHEREAS, Frank Quiambao has served the academic community for over 30 years as an instructor, counselor, and
administrator at Los Angeles Harbor College, Los Angeles Mission College, and West Los Angeles College; and
WHEREAS, Frank Quiambao received his Associate of Arts Degree from Long Beach City College, his Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Political Science and Masters Degree in Educational Psychology/Counseling from the California State University,
Northridge, and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Nova Southeastern University; and
WHEREAS, Frank Quiambao has been active in his community as a member of more than 25 organizations and committees
including the Culver City Chapter of the Rotary Club, as an officer in the California State Military Reserve and as a member of the
Long Beach Mounted Police; and
WHEREAS, Frank Quiambao is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Culver City hereby thanks and commends
Frank Quiambao for his service and dedication to the educational pursuits of the residents of Culver City, and wishes him well in his
future endeavors.
