RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council (1) approve a three-year professional services agreement with Fortress Armored Services Company for armored carrier services; and (2) authorize the City Manager to exercise two one-year options to extend the agreement.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
On August 9, 2021, the City published a Request for Proposals for Armored Car Services, in accordance with City specifications. At the time of closing on October 14, 2021, the following proposals were received:
Both proposers were invited for oral interviews with an evaluation team consisting of representatives from the Finance, Police and Transportation Departments. Detailed questions were asked by the panel to assess: (1) Qualifications & Experience; (2) Understanding of City's Scope of Services, (3) Fees, & (4) References, Schedule & Other Requirements. Based on its evaluation, the Staff recommends Fortress Armored Services Company be retained to provide armored carrier services for the City of Culver City.
