Fulwood (05/02/07) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Culver City City Council ( Council ) approve a professional services agreement with Peter Erdelyi & Associates for structural engineering peer review services related the Westfield Fox Hills shell building remodel/addition at 6050 Sepulveda Boulevard (the Westfield Project ). to BACKGROUND: On April 2 2007 Building Safety received an application for a building permit for the Westfield Project. The Project includes an extensive remodel of existing space and 165 000 new square footage with a construction valuation of $90 000 000. The application included a plan check fee in the amount of $385 623.26. The City s Building Safety Plan Check Engineer is experienced in this area; however for a project of this size an independent structural engineering peer review is prudent and recommended in order to maintain the existing level of service.
