Fulwood (11/08/07) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council: (1) approve a professional services agreement with Tramutola LLC to provide public education advisory services related to the proposed Utility Users Tax ballot measure in an amount not to exceed $23 000; (2) approve an appropriation in the amount of $20 000 from unappropriated reserves to implement the public education program (This budget amendment requires a 4/5th vote of the City Council.); and (3) direct staff to work with the Budget and Finance Subcommittee to develop and implement a public education and information plan. BACKGROUND: On June 18 2007 the City Council unanimously directed staff to proceed with drafting a proposed ordinance to modernize the communications provisions of the City s Utility Users Tax (UUT).
