BACKGROUND In February 2006 the City Manager recognized the need to centralize all regional traffic related issues that had an impact on Culver City. It was discussed and determined by the City Manager and City Council to move this program to the Transportation Department as the former Transportation Director had the expertise to oversee the program. In recognition of these additional responsibilities the City Council increased the Transportation Director salary and revised the class spec to include managerial oversight of regional traffic.
