Fulwood (08/15/07) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council continue the existence of the City Council/Culver City Sister Cities Subcommittee until December 31 2007. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: On June 15 2007 the City Council authorized the City Manager to expend an amount not to exceed $7 000 from appropriated reserves for expenses related to the CCSCC s events during the months of July/August 2007; created the City Council/Culver City Sister Cities Subcommittee with a sunset date of August 31 2007; appointed Vice Mayor Gross and Councilmember Silbiger to serve on this Subcommittee; and directed the Subcommittee to meet with the CCSCC and return to the City Council with a recommendation no later than August 27 2007. The Subcommittee has had constructive meetings with members of the CCSCC and additional time for research is needed in order to bring back options to the City Council. Staff recommends the City Council extend the time period of the Subcommittee which will allow such research and analysis to be conducted. FISCAL ANALYSIS: The CCSCC Treasurer states that there will be no additional funding necessary during September and October therefore there is no fiscal impact to extend the City Council/Culver City Sister Citie...
