RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Mobility Subcommittee receive a presentation from staff, discuss, and approve the intersection of Herbert St and Coolidge Ave for All-Way Stop control.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

Subcommittee will receive a presentation from staff, discuss, and potentially approve the intersection of Herbert St and Coolidge Ave is for All-Way Stop control.

On July 31, 2024, Culver City received a request for traffic control (all-way stop) measures to be implemented at the intersection of Herbert St and Coolidge Ave. Pursuant to the California MUTCD Chapter 2B.07 Multi-Way Stop Applications and the City's Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP), traffic data was collected on the approaches of Herbert St and Coolidge Ave in November 2024 on a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

City staff reviewed the data as a part of an engineering study and considered the following:

* Vehicle volumes entering the intersection from the major streets (Herbert St).
* Vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle volumes entering the intersection from the minor streets (Coolidge Ave).
