Action Items
Consideration of Funding 50 Percent of the Purchase Cost of LED
Lights to Replace the Decorative Tree Lights in the Downtown Area
Glenn Heald, Community Development, presented the staff report.
After discussing ways in which costs could be reduced the following motion was
made:
Moved by Agency Member Rose and seconded by Agency Member Gross that
the Redevelopment Agency: 1. Authorize funding 50 percent of the cost for the
purchase of LED lights for the trees in the downtown area up to $10,500 from
Account Number 55393400.730100 “Downtown Street Improvements – Other
Than Building”; and, 2. Direct the Agency Counsel to prepare the necessary
documents, and authorize the Agency’s Executive Director to execute the
agreements on behalf of the Agency. A roll call vote reflected unanimous
approval.

Items from the Agency
Agency Member Rose reported that the current issue of Conde Nast Traveller
contained an article on “Celestial Navigation of LA Neighborhoods” that
prominently mentioned Culver City among other cities in the area. He reminded
everyone that the Culver City Police and Fire Departments would hold services
on Tuesday, September 11 in memory of 9/11 and he wished everyone of the
Jewish faith a Happy New Year.

Adjournment
There being no further business, at 8:52 p.m., the Agency adjourned to closed
session. The meeting reconvened at 11:36 p.m. and immediately adjourned in
the memory of Sam Cerra and Melba McLendon to the next regular meeting on
Monday, September 17, 2007, at 5:30 p.m. in the Mike Balkman Council
Chambers.
