RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Cultural Affairs Commission (CAC) receive updates from staff on the FY 2019-20 Cultural Affairs work plan, an overview of the proposed FY 2020-21 Cultural Affairs work plan priorities, and provide comments and/or make a recommendation to the Administrative Services Director and the City Manager, as appropriate.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
As was the case in prior years, each of the City's Commissions, Boards and Committees have an opportunity to provide input related to the budget and work plan for FY 2020-21 (deadline is March 26, 2020) before the City Manager presents his proposed budget to the City Council on Monday, May 11, 2020. The City Council is scheduled to receive individual department presentations on next year's proposed budget and work plan on March 2 and March 3, 2020. The FY 2020-21 budget is scheduled for adoption on June 22, 2020. CAC members are welcome to attend any of these meetings.
Staff will provide a status update on the FY 2019-20 Cultural Affairs work plan followed by an overview of the FY 2020-21 Cultural Affairs work plan priorities at the CAC meeting on February 18, 2020.
