Fulwood (06/07/06) Department Approval: William La Pointe; Director of Parks Recreation and Community Services; 06/01/2006 City Controller Approval: Marlee Chang (06/07/06) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve the submittal of a grant application to the Area Agency on Aging for the renewal of the Senior Nutrition Grant for Fiscal Year 2006 2007. BACKGROUND: This will be the 31st annual re authorization of the funding of the Senior Nutrition Program through the Area Agency on Aging. This grant provides for meals for seniors throughout the week at the Culver City Senior Center and for the Home Delivered Meal Program. The funding for the Nutrition Grant comes from the Area Agency on Aging and requires annual re application for funding. FISCAL ANALYSIS: The Senior Nutrition Program is grant funded through the Older Americans Act in the amount of $120 299 and has no fiscal impact on the General Fund.
