BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: On May 26 2009 the City Council adopted a resolution allocating funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to be used for the enhancement of the accessibility of the playground including associated paths of travel at Veterans Memorial Park. Recently the City completed installation of new playground equipment and engineered wood fiber safety surfacing an appropriate safety surfacing to ensure ADA accessibility.
