RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution calling a Public Hearing for May 23, 2016 to determine whether the public health, safety or welfare requires the formation of Underground Utility District 13 for the City-owned properties located at 12403 - 12423 Washington Boulevard, 4064 Colonial Avenue, and 4061 - 4063 Centinela Avenue, and certain portions of adjacent public right-of-way.
BACKGROUND
The Market Hall, located at 12403 - 12423 Washington Blvd., 4064 Colonial Ave., 4061 Centinela Ave. and 4063 Centinela Ave, as currently planned, will include approximately 40,000 square feet of leasable floor space consisting of one or more anchor tenant(s) complemented by numerous artisanal vendors and specialty shops offering breads, wines, olives, meats and cheeses, as well as other items and articles conducive to a relaxed and pleasant shopping and dining experience.
