RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council conduct a public meeting pursuant to Section 54954.6 of the Government Code regarding the proposed new assessment related to the establishment of the Culver City Arts District Business Improvement District.
BACKGROUND
On October 26, 2015, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2015-R082, a Resolution of Intention to initiate the establishment of a proposed Culver City Arts District Business Improvement District (CCAD BID). The Resolution of Intention specifies the name and boundaries of the proposed CCAD BID, describes the improvements/activities to be funded by the proposed assessment, and specifies the proposed method and basis for levying of the proposed assessment (Attachment 1). On November 9, 2015 a first public meeting was conducted to receive public testimony regarding establishment of the proposed CCAD BID.
