City of Culver City, California City Council Agenda Item Report RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council adopt an Ordinance (Attachment 1) amending Culver City Municipal Code § 9.10.300.B to authorize the City Council to establish, by resolution, skateboard park rules and regulations and waive further reading. BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION: At the City Council meeting of August 13, 2007, the Council introduced the Ordinance and adopted the Resolution establishing the specific regulations, by a unanimous vote (5-0). The Resolution will take effect concurrently with the effective date of the Ordinance. The Ordinance is brought back at this time for adoption. FISCAL ANALYSIS: The rules and regulations will be posted at the entrance of the newly constructed Skateboard Park. There are sufficient funds in Grants account 42300830.730100 (Skateboard Park Project – Improvements other than Building) to cover the cost of fabricating and installing the sign, which is estimated to be approximately $300 - $500.
