Fulwood (04/17/08) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council discuss the Berryman Avenue Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP) traffic calming plan and direct staff as deemed appropriate. BACKGROUND: The City s original NTMP was established by the City Council in 1994 and was subsequently modified in 2004. The NTMP Procedures Manual is included with this staff report. (Please see Attachment No. 1.) Culver City s NTMP was adopted by the City Council as a tool to manage and control neighborhood traffic and reduce negative traffic impacts on residential neighborhoods. The NTMP accomplishes what is commonly referred to as traffic calming. Through the process of traffic calming there are two broad purposes one quantitative and one qualitative.
