RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council (1) approve a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with the Culver City Arts Foundation ("CCAF") for the implementation of a 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games Fundraising Strategy, (2) approve related City provided sponsorship benefits, (3) approve the proposed Olympic and Paralympic Games Cultural Framework; or (4) provide a direction to the City Manager as deemed appropriate.


BACKGROUND

The CCAF was created as an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 2006 to support the City's cultural programming and events. In 2016, the City Council formed an Ad Hoc Subcommittee for the purpose of revising the structure of the CCAF with the goal of allowing it to function independently from the City.
