RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Finance Advisory Committee (FAC) (1) welcome new member Anissa Di Vincente, then (2) designate officers (Chair and Vice Chair) to serve a one-year term, expiring June 30, 2024.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
New Member:
In accordance with FAC Bylaws (Section II.A.1.c.i.), the Culver City non-management bargaining groups recommended the following appointment to the FAC (filling the vacancy left by former member Alec de Mattos):
* Anissa Di Vincente - Labor Representative Member Seat No. 7 for a term with no limits
On June 26, 2023 the City Council approved this appointment.
Selection of Officers:
The FAC Bylaws require the Committee to annually designate officers from among its membership. Per Section IV.A of the FAC By-Laws:
1. At the initial meeting and at the meeting in or after July 1st of each year, the Committee shall elect a Chair and Vice-Chair from among its membership.
2. The Chair and Vice-Chair of the Committee shall serve at the pleasure of the Committee.
3. The Chair and Vice-Chair shall serve terms of one year commencing upon their appointment and concluding on the later of June 30 of the following year or the election of their successors.
