Director Approval: Jerry Fulwood (6/28/07) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Culver City Redevelopment Agency ( Agency ) fill the vacancy on the Advisory Committee on Redevelopment (ACOR) created by the resignation of Linda Smith Frost for the balance of her term. BACKGROUND: On May 29 2007 the Agency appointed two new and three incumbent members of the ACOR to serve the four year term from July 2007 to June 2011. On the same night the Culver City City Council made appointments to various City Commissions. Linda Smith Frost who is in the middle of her four year term on ACOR applied for and was appointed to the Culver City Planning Commission. As a result she has tendered her resignation from ACOR thereby creating a vacancy at her position which expires in June 2009. Because the applications to ACOR from the just concluded recruitment are so current and because of the adequate number of available candidates to select from staff deemed it unnecessary to conduct another recruitment to fill the new vacancy. The just concluded recruitment for the five vacant ACOR positions resulted in the Agency receiving applications from 12 candidates five of which were selected and another was appointed by the City Council to the Cultural Affairs Commission thus leaving six candidate s applications available now to...
