BACKGROUND: On August 13 2007 the City Council (1) introduced an Ordinance amending Culver City Municipal Code Section 9.10.300 (B) to authorize the City Council to establish by Resolution Skateboard Park Rules and Regulations; and (2) adopted a Resolution establishing Rules and Regulations regarding the Use of Skateboard Parks within the City. These Rules and Regulations have now been in place for approximately seven (7) years without updates or modifications. Recreation staff is proposing some revisions to the Rules and Regulations based on the current use of the Skateboard Park and the observed behavior patterns of regular users.
