BACKGROUND: The City Council approved submission of a Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant application at the April 28 2003 Council meeting. Attachment 1 provides a copy of the report on the item. The LWCF grant was approved for funding in the amount of $204 000. The City received a fully executed contract for the LWCF grant on November 6 2003. Attachment 2 is a copy of the executed contract. Matching funds in the amount of $204 000 required for the LWCF grant have been identified from the City s Proposition 12 and 40 Per Capita funds. The State of California will authorize release of those funds once the City has determined a final location for the Skateboard Park Project. At the August 22 2005 City Council meeting City Council awarded a professional services agreement to SITE Design Group Inc. to design a permanent Skateboard Park at Culver City Park. Attachment 3 provides a copy of the report on the item.
