BACKGROUND: As part of the 2006 07 budget process staff was directed to conduct a Request for Proposal (RFP) for workers compensation third party administration services prior to the adoption of the 2007 08 budget. Subsequently City Council authorized staff to release an RFP for claims administration services on January 8 2007. The RFP solicited proposals for third party claims administration medical bill review services and utilization review services.
