Lamont Ewell (05/12/10) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council approve a professional services agreement with TRULINE for court resurfacing at Fox Hills and Syd Kronenthal Parks. BACKGROUND: Several Culver City parks provide playing courts for public use including tennis paddle tennis handball volleyball and basketball courts. Due to the overwhelming popularity of these park amenities the Parks Division must periodically make arrangements to have the playing courts at various parks repaired resurfaced and restriped. Within the past two years such repair work was done at Culver West Alexander and Veterans Memorial Parks and at the Paddle Tennis Courts on Culver Boulevard among other locations. Because the need for this type of refurbishment arises so frequently the City has a designated account 41900640 (Park Facilities Fund Resurface/Restripe Sports Courts) for this purpose.
