Baker) (10/21/09) City Manager Approval: Mark Scott (10/21/09) RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution naming two seats in the Mike Balkman City Council Chambers after Adele and Henry SIegel. BACKGROUND: Adele and Henry Siegel were longtime Culver City residents who were very active in the affairs of their neighborhood and their City. Both Mr. and Mrs. Siegel became well know fixtures at City Council meetings where they often offered comment and advice to the City Council on the full range of issues considered by the City Council. Mr. and Mrs. Siegel passed away within a few months of each other in 2007/2008. In honor of their contributions to Culver City especially their participation in so many City Council meetings the City Council has requested an agenda item be considered related to naming two seats in the Mike Balkman Council Chambers after Adele and Henry SIegel. City Council Policy Number 2006 001 (Facility Naming Policy) provides that at least one year shall pass prior to the City Council considering naming an item in honor of a person.
