Blackshire Fiscal Impact: Yes Public Hearing: X Public Notification: Culver CityBus commenced a public notification process pursuant to Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO) service change guidelines on March 23 2006. Our outreach efforts to obtain public input consisted of two public meetings that were held on April 25 2006 (2 p.m. & 7 p.m.) in addition to accepting comments via e mail voice mail and regular mail. Interested parties were able to request additional information via mail. A total of 15 information packets were mailed. Notification of the public meetings and the proposed service changes was made by mail (to all Culver City residents) through in bus advertising (including take one flyers and transit cards) on the Culver CityBus website (www.culvercitybus.com) and in the Culver City News (a local newspaper). Service change flyers were also delivered to the Culver City Senior Center. The notification process was started over thirty (30) days prior to the public meeting and over ninety (90) days prior to the proposed service change implementation date. Notification was also mailed to the four transit properties which share Culver CityBus service area. These transit properties are: Metro Santa Monica s Big Blue Bus Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) and Torrance Transit. Notification of the public hearing at the May 22nd City Council meeting was made in the May 11th and 18th Culver City News through in bus advertising (transit cards) and on the Culver CityBus website.
