RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the Mobility Subcommittee receive a presentation from staff, discuss, and approve the intersection of Braddock Drive and Lincoln Avenue for All-Way Stop control.


BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

On August 8, 2024, the City received a request for traffic control measures to be implemented at the intersection of Braddock Drive and Lincoln Avenue. Pursuant to the California MUTCD Chapter 2B.07 Multi-Way Stop Applications and the City's Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP), traffic data was collected on the approaches of Braddock Drive and Lincoln Avenue in January 2025 on a Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

City staff reviewed the data as a part of an engineering study and considered the following:

* Vehicle speeds and volumes entering the intersection from the major street (Braddock Drive).
* Vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle volumes entering the intersection from the minor street (Lincoln Avenue).
* Existing delay to vehicular traffic entering the intersection from the minor street.
