RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a resolution amending the regular meetings of the City Council for the calendar year 2026 and rescinding Resolution R2025-090.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The City Charter, Section 608, authorizes the Council to determine the regular meeting dates of the City Council by ordinance or resolution and adjourn any regular meeting to a date certain. On November 10, 2025, the City Council adopted Resolution R2025-090 setting the Regular Meeting Dates for 2026. Once the meeting dates are established by adoption of a resolution, they may only be changed by adoption of a subsequent resolution at a regular meeting of the City Council.
To allow additional time for election preparation, staff recommends adding Monday, July 27, 2026 to the 2026 Regular Meeting Calendar.

These dates are presented to City Council for approval.
FISCAL ANALYSIS
There is no fiscal impact from the adoption of the resolution amending the regular meeting
of the City Council for calendar year 2026.
