RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration & Juneteenth Celebration Committee (Committee) receive and file the marketing poster and the updated communication outreach plan for the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION
The Committee is being presented with the marketing poster and the updated communication outreach plan for the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration on January 17, 2026. On October 16, 2025, members of the PR, Marketing and Entertainment Ad Hoc Sub Committee were sent four poster designs for the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration 2026. Attachment 1 shows the poster that was unanimously mentioned as the favorite of the members. The members provided some notes and feedback that were incorporated into the design. In addition, a communication outreach plan has been developed to ensure that promotional efforts align with key planning milestones and community partnership strategies.
